Winger Pule Mmodi has opened up for the first time on his high-profile arrival at Kaizer Chiefs and adjusting to life at Naturena.
Mmodi reportedly went as far parting ways with his previous agent and turned down a move to rivals Orlando Pirates in a bid to join Amakhosi when his contract with Lamontville Golden Arrows expired.
Since donning the Black and Gold, Mmodi has had a luke warm start, scoring four goals in just under 18 appearances for the Soweto Giants – the most league goals scored by a Chiefs player as of mid-December 2023.

Speaking to the club's media ahead of the DStv Premiership clash against Richards Bay, the speedy winger admits it challenging to settle in at Naturena.
"I am very happy to be here at Kaizer Chiefs," Mmodi said.
"In the beginning it was a challenge to adapt, given the status of Kaizer Chiefs. It is not easy to play for a club like Kaizer Chiefs," he acknowledges.
"But I think things have been going well for me and I want to keep on giving my best to help us win and please the fans."

Among his goals, Mmodi struck a screamer of goal when Chiefs took on Stellenbosch in August.
"I was very happy to win Goal-of-the-Month," added Mmodi.
"It has given me the confidence to believe I can significantly contribute to the team, like getting a goal against Polokwane City, although I don't think that will win Goal-of-the-Month."
