Al-Ahli star set for shock exit after six months?

An Al-Ahli star could reportedly leave in the January window just six months after he left the Premier League.

Roberto Firmino joined the Saudi Pro League club on a free transfer before the start of the season after parting ways with Liverpool.

However, the Brazilian's time in Saudi Arabia has not been smooth sailing, having only register three goals in 17 appearances this campaign.

According to the Mirror, Firmino's future at Al-Ahli is up in the air just a few days before the transfer window.

Firmino's three goals came on his debut in August and has he struggled to find the back of the net since then, while his last start for Al-Ahli came in October.

The report adds that Steven Gerrard's  Al-Ettifaq would be keen on a move for the Brazilian forward.

Firmino would also be reuniting with his former Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Gerrard, who is looking for reinforcements, has recently revealed his admiration for the former Reds striker.

"I obviously know Bobby extremely well, I've been a massive fan. I've followed him for years," Gerrard said, as per the Mirror.

"At the moment, he's Al-Ahli's player, so it's very difficult for me to comment on that situation. But I've loved Bobby Firmino since the first day I watched him and I'm a huge fan."
