Percy Tau and Al Ahly teammate Anthony Modeste were reportedly left behind during the celebrations that followed the side's latest cup triumph.
On Thursday night, the Red Devils were crowned champions of the Egyptian Super Cup after beating Future FC 4-2 in extra-time, after the score was all-square at 2-2 at the end of the regulatory 90 minutes.

During the post-match celebrations, however, the South African and his attacking teammate seemingly found themselves in the unwanted positions of being left behind by the rest of the team amid the triumphant euphoria that followed.
According to journalist Ahmed Schubert, via El Watan, after the ceremony that saw them collect the trophy and their medals, the players and staff accidentally departed the Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi without the duo.
"Tau and Modeste waited in the stadium after the coronation to film and celebrate with the fans, and the Al Ahly bus had moved and arrived at the team's hotel," Schubert said.
He then revealed that the pair essentially had to catch a lift with one of the club's supporters, who dropped them off at the team's hotel.
"Modeste contacted Khaled Bebo, the football director, and told him that he had left him on the field, before Bebo confirmed to assure him that he would deal with the matter and contact one of his friends, an Al Ahly fan, to reach them and deliver Modeste and Tau to the hotel."
The 11-time CAF Champions League winners found themselves 2-0 up after 45 minutes, courtesy of a 13th minute opener by Kahraba and a 34th minute strike by Hussein El Shahat.

Future would, however, claw their way back into the game with a 76th minute goal by Omar El Said. Not long after, the equaliser would come through Mohamed Mahmoud to force the matter to extra-time, where goals from Anthony Modeste and Karim Fouad would help the Egyptian giants to yet another trophy.
