Bafana Bafana have been handed a boost ahead of their opening match in the AFCON with three key players returning to training over the weekend.
Concerns had been growing among section for Bafana supporters over the fitness of Sundowns trio Ronwen Williams, Themba Zwane and Mothobi Mvala who all missed last Wednesday's practice match against Lesotho.
Mvala had suffered a groin injury and Zwane had taken a knock during Bafana's camp in Stellenbosch, while Williams had been troubled by a niggling knee problem.
Bafana's medical doctor Tshepo Molobi had confirmed that extra cautionary measures were being taken to help the players return to action in time for Bafana's opening match.

SAFA media confirmed on Sunday, that all three players had recovered in time and were involved in full training with the squad ahead of the crucial opener.
"Training at Lycee Modern de Korhogo, which is the training facility assigned to team South Africa, boasted all the amenities needed to prepare for the AFCON," the statement reads.
"Players like Williams, Themba Zwane and Mothobi Mvala were back on the pitch pushing towards their next goal, to be in the line-up when the team plays their first game against Mali in a few days' time.
Broos' men will start their 2023 AFCON title pursuit with a Group E clash against Mali on Tuesday evening before meeting Namibia on Sunday, 21 January and wrapping up the group stage action against Tunisia on 24 January.
