Bellingham in hot water for shock Greenwood 'insult'?

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham could reportedly be in hot water for an alleged and shocking insult towards Mason Greenwood. 

Los Blancos recorded a 2-0 victory over Getafe in a league match on Thursday courtesy of a brace by striker Joselu, but the victory is seemingly being overshadowed by an incident between the two Englishmen.

Geta Azulones are said to have reported Bellingham to LALIGA claiming that he called the forward on loan from Manchester United a rapist, according to the Mirror.

The pair are said to have exchanged words after the former Borussia Dortmund star tackled his compatriot. 

It is further claimed that Getafe requested that the match official record Bellingham's alleged comment in his match report. 

The 20-year-old is now said to be in danger of punishment if an investigation proves that he did direct the comments towards Greenwood. 

Greenwood was arrested on charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in January 2022. The charges were, however, dropped in February last year. 

Following an internal investigation into the incident by the Red Devils, it was determined that the player would relaunch his career away from the club, resulting in him spending the 2023/24 season as a Getafe player on loan.

Greenwood has thus far made 18 appearances for his side, impressing while scoring four goals and assisting on four occasions to help Geta Azulones to 10th place on the table.
