Orlando Pirates captain Innocent Maela opens on the exit of talisman Thembinkosi Lorch to Mamelodi Sundowns, with the pair forming part of some of the longest serving players at the Buccaneers.
Lorch penned a shock deadline move to rivals Sundowns on transfer Deadline Day in January, ending a nine-year stay with the Buccaneers with only six months left on his contract.

Maela who spent a majority of those years serving alongside Lorch, admitted to the journalists that the move was a an emotional one for the defender.
The centre-back was speaking to media at the Zodwa Khoza Foundation in Soweto where Pirates, as MTN8 winners donated R100 000 worth of sports and IT equipment to the foundation as part of MTN's Goals for Charity campaign.
