Mbappe's Real deal to cause issues in Madrid dressing room?

With Real Madrid having reportedly presented an offer to Kylian Mbappe, it is now claimed a certain clause in the proposed deal could cause a problem in the Madrid dressing room.

According to Marca, Mbappe will put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Los Blancos at the end of the season, with his wages expected to be in the region of €15 million to €20 million (R308 million to R410 million) a year, plus bonuses.

The report also claims his wage will be reflective of his status as one of the best footballers on the planet, and will therefore see him become the LALIGA club's highest earner, surpassing their current best-paid stars Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and David Alaba.

With an agreement in principle said to be in place, it is now suggested that a certain term of contract is likely to upset the dynamic within the Real dressing room.

According to Cadena SER, the Spanish giants will allow Mbappe to keep a large percentage of his image rights, thus enabling him to earn more money than the rest of his teammates.

Journalist Anton Meana adds: "Mbappe can create a precedent with the image rights. He will take more than the rest of his teammates than Real Madrid and this may cause someone to arrive and ask to have the same percentage that the Frenchman will have."

Meanwhile, France legend Emmanuel Petit has insisted that Mbappe's move to Madrid could be a "problem".

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star told AS: "If Mbappe goes to Madrid, that could be a problem. Not just in terms of wages in the dressing room, but in terms of leadership as well.

"[Jude] Bellingham has been amazing just like Vinicius Jr, and if he [Mbappe] goes to Madrid, he will have to play as a striker, just like what he did recently for PSG.

"But we all know that this is not his best position. There are so many questions and no answers."
