PSG manager makes big Mbappe admission

Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique made a big admission about Kylian Mbappe's role in the team on Sunday.

The 25-year-old's days at the Parc des Princes are numbered, having already informed the club of his intention to leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

It is widely expected that he will join Real Madrid, but there is yet to be any official announcement confirming this.

Nevertheless, it is becoming more apparent that Mbappe's time at the Parisian club is quickly running down.

In a Ligue 1 tie against Stade Rennais on Sunday, the superstar forward was withdrawn after 65 minutes while PSG were 1-0 down.

He was replaced by striker Goncalo Ramos, who won a penalty for the team and scored from the spot in the 97th minute level the score at 1-1.

The decision to substitute Mbappe off raised quite a few eyebrows, but his manager Enrique did not mince his words when explaining his reasoning for it.

"It's very easy to answer you," Enrique said, according to Culture PSG.

"Before or after, sooner or later… We will have to get used to playing without Kylian.

"When? When I consider it appropriate whether he plays or not, as all coaches do with their players."

PSG defender Lucas Hernandez also weighed in on the situation, telling members of the media after the game: "Mbappe being subbed out? It's Enrique's decision.

"He is the one who manages the team. It's up to Enrique to make the decisions; Enrique is the boss. We have a great group with great players.

"It's true that Kylian can make a difference for you at any time, but it's the coach's decision, and it's up to us to continue."
