Only team Zidane will manage next 'revealed'

The only team former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is now willing relaunch his managerial career with has reportedly been revealed.

With current Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti having signed an extension that will see him remain the club's manager until June 2026, a return to the Santiago Bernabeu dugout is considered to no longer be an option for the 51-year-old.

According to Mundo Deportivo, though, the three-time UEFA Champions League winner is still keen on making a return to management, but is only interested in taking charge of the France national team.

It is believed this is the sole motivation for a return to coaching for the former Real boss, with it said that Zidane has rejected offers from a number of top clubs in Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Les Bleus midfielder is reportedly reluctant to take on a job at a different club because he lives in the Spanish capital and is content with life there.

It is further claimed that being in charge of France would allow him to run the team while staying in Madrid, only travelling to wherever the national team needs to be when necessary.

As things stand, Zidane will have to wait until the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to see if his desire can be fulfilled as that is when the contract of current France manager Didier Deschamps expires.

However, Zidane could be in the job even sooner, with it believed Deschamps' tenure could be cut short if the side fails to perform well at the 2024 UEFA European Championship set to take place in Germany later this year.
