The seven games remaining for Pitso Mosimane at Saudi Pro League club Abha FC could provide a path to mega millions in his next contract.
Mosimane joined Abha at the beginning of the year on a deal running up to the end of the season.

The Saudi Pro League will run until May 27 with Abha having three home games and four away, where they have been dismal.
What is priority is retaining the place of safety that Mosimane has guided them to come the last day of the season when they play bottom-placed Al Hazm.
Abha were second from bottom when Mosimane arrived but have now moved up to position 15.

Survival will come with the option of a new deal for Mosimane at Abha with improved terms and a push to have influence at the club.
Of note is that Mosimane's current package doesn't compare to what top coaches in the Saudi Pro League, who include Jorge Jesus, Luis Castro, Mathias Jaissle, Marcelo Gallardo, Steven Gerard, and Slaven Bilic, are getting.
Abha will have paid the former Bafana Bafana coach and his team in the region of USD700 000 (approx. R13,2 million) in salaries at the end of the deal in May.
Mosimane is taking the bulk of those tax-free earnings and will have bonuses paid if he saves the team.

Once relegation is secured, Mosimane will move on to a deal that will be pegged at a minimum of USD1,5 million (approx. R28 million per annum) and stretch to USD2,5 million (approx. R47 million).
This is based on the trends in the Saudi market and what this website has been told by those working there.
A contact who works in the Middle East market and has done business with Abha before believes Mosimane could even earn more.
Gerard earns USD19 million (approx. R360 million per annum) at Al Ettifaq, Jesus clocks R200 million at Al Hilal, Castro is on R150 million at Al Nassr, while Jaissle (Al Ahli) and Bilic (Al Fetah) are all on over R100 million per year.

With the potential of growing his earnings, Mosimane has made it known that he will prefer to stay in the Gulf Region unless he gets the Nigeria national team job.
The former Bafana Bafana coach is in contention for the Super Eagles job, while he is also on the wanted list of Wydad Casablanca should his stay in Saudi Arabia not work out.
