Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ricardo Nascimento is raising his hand on the field as he angles towards the possibility of returning for another dance in the PSL.
Nascimento earned his stripes playing for Sundowns, where he spent five-and-a-half years after having played in Brazil, Portugal and Romania.
The 37-year-old won the Nedbank Cup, Telkom Knockout, MTN8, CAF Super Cup, CAF Champions League and five league titles.

That was a haul of 10 trophies in just under six years.
However, after turning down the option of being incorporated to a non-playing role at Sundowns, Nascimento moved to Royal AM.
The 16 months that he spent at Royal AM ended on a sour note with Nascimento taking the club to FIFA for a breach of contract.

Royal AM are now serving a ban emanating from this case after failing to meet the financial requirements of the FIFA order.
The case remains unresolved.
In the meanwhile, Nascimento returned home to rejoin former club Rio Branco Esporte Clube last year on a deal running up to the end of May.
Rio Branca is the club that he joined as a 13-year-old and played for at all age groups until his professional breakthrough.
The left-footed defender has now been putting in eye-catching displays in the 2024 Campeonato Paulista – Serie A4.
Rio Branca have reached the semi-finals and will play the first leg on Saturday against Esporte Clube XV de Novembro de Jau.

All of this hasn't gone unnoticed back in South Africa, where discussions are already underway with regards to bringing him back to one DStv Premiership outfit.
This website has gathered that with Nascimento becoming a free agent at the end of May, he has raised a hand of interest in returning to South Africa.
If all goes according to plan, then he will make his return ahead of the 2024/25 season.
This is despite that he is now 37.

Nascimento has confirmed to this website his interest in returning with talks already underway for a potential deal with a club that he has previously engaged.
However, should that option of a PSL return not work out, then he could stay on in Brazil and continue playing in the lower leagues.
