Head coach Cavin Johnson has issued a tribute to decorated goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, who was honoured for his 25 years of service ahead of Kaizer Chiefs' DStv Premiership clash against Polokwane City on Saturday.
Amakhosi announced via their social media platforms on Thursday afternoon that veteran shot-stopper Khune would be honoured at the club's final home game of the season and it what is widely believed to be Khune's final home match in a Chiefs' shirt.

Khune was brought on for the last 15 minutes of the match as Chiefs were held to a goalless draw by Rise And Shine.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Johnson paid a brief tribute to the 2013 PSL Footballer of the Year.
"First we give thanks to Itu for serving this team in such great years," Johnson said of Khune.
"Obviously, he did a lot for the team and he's still doing a lot for the team and we are just honouring him. But as the coach that leads the team now and some of the players, we just feel honoured but his presence.
"So Ja, we have to wish him all the best and hope he gets honoured with more of these accolades.

The draw was a disappointing one considering the magnitude of the occasion, Khune's farewell and Chiefs' battle for the top right spot.
"I know what you are saying, we all wanted it, to honour Khune in the right manner, and we know it's our last [home] game and wanted to give our supporters the three points which they need. We were not able to do it and I cannot put my finger on it," Johnson added.
"But we have one more game left, we have to go back and try and prepare and use players who look like they want to play on the pitch.
"Again it's about the training, how they react to the training.
Chiefs have to win their match against already relegated Cape Town Spurs to secure their spot in the top eight.
