A Bundesliga clubs have confirmed it is delighted to be heading to Mpumalanga for their pre-season camp after joining forces with TS Galaxy. Here's a look!
The story
In a press conference on Tuesday, TS Galaxy announced that it had reached an agreement to a partnership with FC Augsburg, who finished 11th in the Bundesliga this season. It said that the partnership could create a pathway for Galaxy players to get signed by the German outfit.
Both teams have been on upward trajectory in their respective topflight, with Augsburg's 11th-place finish being their highest since the 2014/15 season. Meanwhile, the 2023/24 campaign saw The Rockets finish a club-record high of sixth on the DStv Premiership standings.

It perhaps also an exciting news for the neutral supporters and the people of the Mpumalanga, who could now welcome stars like Bosnian striker Ermedin Demirovic in their province after he netted 15 Bundesliga goals this season.
A statement on the Augustburg official Instagram page read: "For the first time in the history of the club, FC Augsburg is moving its summer training camp for 2024 outside Europe.
"In the South African province of Mpumalanga, FCA coach Jess Thorup's team will spend the 18 until 28 of July preparing for the coming season.
"The Augsburgers are participating in the Mpumalanga Premier's International Tournament. The South African Premier League @tsgalaxyfc, tournament will be played at Mbombela Stadium, one of the ten venues of the FIFA World Cup 2010."
Augsburg CEO Michael Ströll added: "We are very much looking forward to the upcoming trip abroad to South Africa. In White River, Mpumalanga Province provides us with frameworks under which we can prepare very well for the new season.
"In the conversations with the officials on the ground, we were impressed with how much effort they have put into getting us as FCA to South Africa for the first time. The trip will certainly be a valuable and enriching experience for our entire team.
"In addition, with our stay in South Africa, we would like to do our part, to represent the Bundesliga abroad and to further increase its popularity globally."
