Lesotho stun Zimbabwe at Orlando!

Zimbabwe 0-2 Lesotho

Zimbabwe slumped to the bottom of Group C in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after a 2-0 loss to regional rivals Lesotho at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.

The Warriors not only drop to the basement but are winless too from three round of matches in the qualifying phases, as Lesotho came out fully prepared for the occasion in Soweto.

It's the maiden victory for Dikwena in the group, as goals in the first half from Rethabile Rasethuntsa and Jane Thaba-Ntso put the contest to bed.

Angola 1-0 Eswatini

Angola secured their first win in a qualifying clash in Group D after seeing off Eswatini 1-0 in a Southern African derby in Luanda.

For the Palancas Negras, the victory propels them to within the top-two as the visitors remain rooted and with three defeats on the bounce after Mabululu's second minute opener proved the difference.

Uganda 1-0 Botswana

Uganda remained on course with the early pace-setters in Group G and moved to third spot with a 1-0 win over Botswana.

With Algeria stunned by Guinea on Thursday, the stakes at the upper tier of the standings are heavily poised at the minute with the first four nations having the same points.

The Cranes stole the victory in the closing period of the second half through a cleverly taken finish from Muhammad Shaban.

Mozambique 2-1 Somalia

Mozambique continued to keep track with the pace-setters in Group G and overcame bottom-placed outfit Somalia 2-1 in Maputo.

The Mambas are third in the group standings, as first half strikes from Alfons Amade and Stanley Ratifo put them on the pedestal with Ismail Shirwa Maxamed firing the consolation.

Kenya 1-1 Burundi

Kenya were unable to nab a succession of victories and push towards the upper tier of Group F following a 1-1 draw with Burundi.

The Harambee Stars were emphatic in the last qualifiers, crushing a hapless Seychelles 5-0 before the Swallows came unstuck against Gabon in their respective qualifying clash.

With no goals in the opening spell, the host managed to take the initiative albeit in the latter stages through Duke Abuya but Sudi Abdullah soon showed up and spared their blushes.

Madagascar 2-1 Comoros

Madagascar surged to the top of Group I following a 2-1 victory over Comoros in a top-of-the-table clash in the Island derby.

The unfancied nations have made a surprising start to the qualifiers and sit in the top-two, as Madagascar didn't waste time to get going but were ahead right after kick-off through Rayan Raveloson.

Comoros looked to bounce back instantly, but weren't able to as Raveloson added a second before a consolation from Mohamed Ben Nabouhane gave the visitors something to smile about.
