The story behind an emotional exchange and embrace by former Orlando Pirates star Teko Modise to Relebohile Mofokeng in the Nedbank Cup final could now have been explained.
Modise was seen and pictured embracing Mofokeng in the Nedbank Cup celebrations at Mbombela Stadium after his stunning winner in stoppage time handed Pirates a 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
The 19-year-old surprisingly started from the bench against The Brazilians in the Nedbank Cup final, but he sent the Buccaneers supporters into a frenzy after a delicate curler in the box sank Sundowns in added time.

In the celebrations on the pitch, 'The General' was seen embracing Mofokeng, a moment many viewed as signifying and approval as the next big star for the Soweto giants.
Although on the losing side, Sundowns captain and legend Themba Zwane was also seen embracing the wonderkid with a hug on the pitch after the game.
What is earning the 19-year-old his plaudits could also have to do with how he is grounded, under the guidance of his father Sechaba, who is managing his son's career.
"Rele will always be young. I tell him each and every day, 'Rele, you're a young man, you need to listen to older boys. There are other guys who are big, who have been here before you, so you must make sure that you listen and you learn'," Mofokeng Senior says, in revealing the type of relationship he has with his son, on Metro FM Sports.

"Everyone wants to give you advice but it's up to you. I'll give you advice now and someone you meet on the street gives you advice, so it's up to you which advice you take."
