Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane's contract is set to expire at the end of June, and KickOff has the latest update regarding talks for a new deal.
There are apprehensions over the future of Zwane, whose Sundowns contract comes to an end officially on Sunday, especially after the unceremonious exit of Bongani Zungu, who announced his departure from the club on Instagram.

With the new season approaching, head coach Rulani Mokwena also confirmed the departure of Brian Onyango and revealed that Abubeker Nasir was not registered with the Tshwane giants, in his interview on PowerFM.
This website understands that Sundowns have been negotiating with Zwane's camp over a new contract extension for the last few weeks.
When contacted by this publication for the latest in the contract talks, agent Jazzman Mahlakgane revealed that they had done their part of the bargain but was not at liberty to disclose the outcome of the negotiations.
"I'm not announcing who is staying or who is leaving. I'm done with them, the onus is on you to speak to Sundowns for their comment," Mahlakgane responded to KickOff when queried.
"I don't want to be Sundowns' PRO, you know what I'm trying to say? I'm saying I'm done with them, what that means [is that] you must get [comment] from the club."
'Mshishi', at 34, has continued to show his class for club and country after playing a starring role for Bafana Bafana on their way to finishing third and earning bronze at the Africa Cup of Nations.
In Bafana's bid to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Tembisa-born star led the way against Nigeria earlier this month in Uyo after scoring the opener that ensured a respectable 1-1 draw, which set the momentum for a 3-1 win over Zimbabwe four days later.

Zwane's stature and importance in the Sundowns team has grown especially after he was named the official captain.
