Recently departed Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena's agent Steve Kapeluschnik has opened up on his client's exit at the Tshwane giants.
Sundowns officially announced on Wednesday afternoon that they have parted ways with Mokwena following intense speculation that the young tactician's exit at the club was imminent.
Reports in the local media strongly suggested that the 37-year-old tactician had a strained relationship with Sporting Director Flemming Berg and that the former Orlando Pirates coach, after not reporting for pre-season, was in favour of leaving the club.

There were also indications that The Brazilians' hierarchy were not completely happy with the past season's returns of only achieving two trophies, after Masandawana also lost two cup finals, the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup against Orlando Pirates and were knocked out in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
According to the official statement from Sundowns, "The decision [to relieve Mokwena of his duties] was taken by the Board taking into account the objectives and expectations of the Club and was not influenced or based on the recommendation of any individual associated with the club".
Kickoff reached out to Mokwena's agent Kapeluschnik of JDR Consulting, who confirmed exclusively to KickOff that the two parties mutually agreed to terminate.

"All I can say is that Rulani was at the club for quite some time now, I think four years, his record speaks for itself, he did a fantastic job and we're moving on, that's all I can say," Kapeluschnik told Kickoff.
"I'm not gonna go into a post-mortem of my side, their side. We've agreed to terminate, we've jointly agreed and that chapter is closed and he's now looking forward to his next chapter," Kapeluschnik added.
Kickoff will keep readers updated on what's next for Mokwena.
