Ex-Pirates fan-favourite's emotional farewell

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Vincent Pule has penned an emotional farewell following his exit from the Soweto giants, ending a six-year stay that was full of its ups and downs.

Pule was named among several players whose contracts would not be renewed by Pirates following their expiry at the end of June.

The 32-year-old had joined the club in 2018, going on to make 146 appearances. In the same period, he contributed 23 goals and 12 assists.

"Dear Orlando Pirates Fam, I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks.

"To the Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza thank you for the opportunity you gave me to be part of such an amazing institution," Pule wrote.

"To the Management technical team, your dedication, expertise, and tireless efforts behind the scenes have been nothing short of remarkable.

"To my fellow players, it has been an honour and a privilege to share the pitch with such a talented and passionate group of individuals.

"The bonds we have formed both on and off the field will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the memories we have created together."
