In this week's edition of Where Are They Now, KickOff has tracked down forgotten former defender Godfrey Nobula, once on the books of equally forgotten Mpumalanga Black Aces.
Nobula reveals how he has swapped his soccer boots for a job in the mines.
Who am I?
"Godfrey Nobula is a guy from Taung in the North West. I was born in a village called Lokgabeng."
My playing days?
"I played for Free State Stars, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Manning Rangers, Dynamos, City Pillars and Winners Park.

"I so really enjoyed my professional playing days executing my God-given talent so well.
"My biggest achievement is promoting two teams to the elite league, which is Free State Stars and Mpumalanga Black Aces."
Did I make money from soccer?
"Yes, I did earn a salary to provide for myself, and my family. It was not that huge, but it was worth it."
Where I'm living
"I'm currently in Kuruman, Northern Cape, which is just a two-hour drive to my hometown."
Jobs since playing the game?
"After retirement, I had my own business, "Thembula Projects". I was supplying stationery to various schools.
"But the business started to be not doing good because of [a] high [number of] competitors."
My current job
"Currently, I'm permanently working at South 32 MaManganes Mine as an operator. I've been there since 2015."
If I could do it again?
"What I would do differently should I be given a chance in football, I would suggest the League be managed by neutral bodies who don't own any club to bring fairness into the picture.
"You cannot own a team and be part of the League personnel at the same time.
