The Knights of Najd are understood to be in the process of finding a replacement for 35-year-old David Ospina, and are said to view the Brazil international as the ideal candidate.
The Saudi club certainly seem eager to secure his services, as evidenced by the reported two-year deal worth a handsome £51 million (about R1.2 billion) that has reportedly been tabled for the 30-year-old.
It has also been claimed that the Citizens are open to allowing their current first-choice shot-stopper to depart the club as a replacement is believed to have already been lined up.
Reports suggest that the Premier League giants will entrust the duties of being the team's No. 1 to Stefan Ortega, who filled in for the Brazilian towards the back-end of last season, and impressed with his performances.
