Former Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson has broken his silence following his departure from the club.
The 65-year-old was relieved of his duties following the team's dismal performance in the 2023/24 season, where the team finished 10th on the DStv Premiership table.
Joined, who helped shape up the talent of Steven Pienaar and others, joined Chiefs in September 2023 as the club's head of academy, a position that includes full oversight of the club's academy and scouting network.

The former Platinum Stars head coach was moved from his position as Amakhosi head of academy to caretaker coach following the departure of Molefi Ntseki in October 2023.
Johnson holds a UEFA Professional coaching license and also has coaching qualifications obtained via CAF, the Dutch Football Association, and the Brazilian CBF.
Speaking to KickOff, Johnson said he was not yet ready to talk about his stay in Naturena, but did reveal he was on the market for a Premier Soccer League coaching job.
"Yes I have left Kaizer Chiefs, but I'm not saying anything for now, I'm not commenting, we will see what happens if anything is coming up [regarding his future], we will see, I believe the PSL teams they've all got their coaches already," he said.
"But we will see what comes up. There are no offers yet. There's still a lot of things going on."
