Downs star lays down the pathway to success off the pitch

While Mamelodi Sundowns star Teboho Mokoena is renowned for his ability on the pitch he flexed his influencer muscles and his ability to step his game up to another level. 

Nivea Men South Africa sent the midfielder a neatly-boxed package that his name engraved on the top, and he took to social media to reveal the contents of the box.

The South Africa international shared the video on Instagram and captioned it: "@niveamensouthafrica sent me some products from the NIVEA Men Deep range to try out. Make sure to check out my IG page for how I've been using them in my everyday grooming routine."

According to IZEA, brand deal is usually considered to be an agreement between a creator on a social media platform and brands who choose them to promote certain products on their platforms in exchange for some form of compensation which is most likely vary depending on what the parties end up agreeing to. 

Mokoena, meanwhile, would seem like the ideal candidate to promote products with his Instagram account that has an impressive 308 000 followers. 

On it, he shares not only images of himself in footballing attire, but also of him wearing impressive outfits, snaps of his holidays, as well as images of him that have been taken at events and so forth. 

In doing so, the player is earning some additional income while also setting up a potential career path or a little something that he can fall back on when he eventually decides to hang up his football boots.

Mokoena and his Sundowns teammates will be in pre-season action Wednesday 17 July when they take on Russian side FC Dynamo Kyiv in a friendly.
