Agent confirms Mhango's next steps

Agent Mike Makaab has confirmed where his client Gabadinho Mhango, will play his football next season.

The former Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu FC striker has been strongly linked with a move to Chippa United, but according to Makaab that will no longer be the case.

Like most Moroka Swallows players, Mhango's future with the club was not certain after its DStv Premiership status was sold to Marumo Gallants FC owner Abram Sello. Before the sale, Mhango had one season left in his contract with Swallows.

According to the agent, the Malawian will see out the remaining year on his contract, this comes after the Gallants owners decided to keep Mhango at the club, but could not divulge the details of the deal.

Last week, Gallants president Abram Sello confirmed that they will be keeping 13 of the Swallows players.

"Mhango, he's with Marumo Gallants," Makaab tells KickOff.

The Malawian international finished the campaign as the Swallows top scorer, netting eight goals in all competitions.

The Dylan Kerr-coached Gallants have already secured the services of Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy's Daniel Msendami, who scored 12 goals across all competitions in the semi-professional league of Botswana, and managed 16 assists.

Last season Gallants competed in the Motsepe Foundation Championship and finished in 11th position on the log table with 36 points after 30 matches.
