'Jose Riveiro is cooking something special in Spain' - fan

With Orlando Pirates uneaten on their pre-season tour thus far, fans have reacted to their results and expressed excitement at what the future holds for new signing Gilberto.

What's the story?

Following their 2-0 win over Sevilla on their pre-season tour in Spain, the Angolan got himself on the scoresheet to help the Soweto side to a 1-1 draw against LALIGA side Granada.

Here's what fans had to say about the result:

"This Gilberto guy he's going to be trouble, I see his runs and dribbling skills, automatically already we have a player of the season," says Seoka Papa-Lehlogonolo Jerry-Jayson.

"And some are gonna take this pre-season friendlies serious... yes they are but don't read too much in to them," says a cautious Tshepo Humble Ratau.

"Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs is in Turkey learning new flavours for the potato chips," says KoenaClery Clerence Mathekgana

"Funny thing about this is, we won't be saying the same thing on the PSL log," says Llord Dap.

"Games like this motivates players. Trust me, this is a plus to their upcoming season," writes INkosi YoMastende Msalakaca.

"We must deal with Real Madrid whilst we are at it," says Ncube Maroe-Alpha Thandanani.

"It's a pre-season match. Supporters shouldn't be carried away about this outcome and think they have arrived. It reads nothing to the up coming season... like Zero. Nothing!" writes Madala Duncan MrQuality Shingange.

"Pain went straight to winless Sundowns and its neighbours Chips," says Mpotso Mokhethi.

"And the real games will start in August," says Vusumzi Basela.

"Jose Riveiro is cooking something special in Spain believe me," says Nhlakanipho Juju-man.

Meanwhile, former player and director at Al Ahly Wael Gomaa has criticised Pitso Mosimane, highlighting what he disliked most about the South African tactician.

Gomaa claimed that Mosimane had been in talks with rivals Zamalek while he was still in charge of the Red Devils, suggesting that he "manipulated" Al Ahly.

Check out how the readers responded:

"I wish Al Ahly can give Gomaa a chance to coach their team so he can feel the heat," writes Misho Hargreaves Njo-man.

"They failed to win the CAF Champions League for about seven years until Pitso won them two in a row. That's why they continue to do well in the Champions League by winning back to back. It's Pitso's foundation," writes Lino Ndlovu.

"Won them the CAF Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup bronze medals. I don't think any former Al Ahly coach can say that," says Crespo Sidelo.

"He also did the same at Mamelodi Sundowns," says Otshepeng Tshepi Martins.

"They are such an ungrateful lot. Pitso gave them trophies. What more did they want?" asks Last Marange.

"After he won them back to back CAF Champions League titles. People should learn to appreciate and respect performers," says Sydney Mweetwa.

"Whether he likes him or doesn't, Pitso did exceptionally well while he was there, period," says Steve Letsae Letsoela.

"Pitso is a great coach with many trophies won," says Praise Siyendane.

"They find it hard to move on and appreciate the level he put them," says Duiker Ke Kwatsebotse.
