Kaizer Chiefs marketing and commercial director, Jessica Motaung, has revealed the club's hopes of continuing their relationship with Turkiye after a pleasant pre-season camp in the country. Here's a look!
The story
Amakhosi touched down at the OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday after spending several weeks in Europe for a rigorous pre-season camp. The Soweto giants endured a miserable 2023/24 campaign, which saw them finish a shocking 10th-place on the league table, their lowest in the PSL era.
The club have since been proactive in turning around their fortunes, as they made several new appoints in the technical staff, including new manager Nasreddine Nabi at the helm.

There was some banter online over the club's preparations abroad, with some jokingly remarking that the squad has been taken through military training after a picture of them running through the hills was posted online.
Although some Chiefs stars have admitted that their pre-season has been all about hard work, Motaung has drawn a particular positive from their experience in Turkiye as they were warmly welcomed by the South African embassy in Istanbul.
The director said the Glamour Boys were eager to strengthen their ties with Turkiye, hinting a potential return to the country in the future, where pre-season training looks to be among the likeliest reasons.
"We are happy that the both Ambassadors Letsatsi-Duba and [Aysegül] Kandas welcomed us with open arms both in Pretoria and in Türkiye," said Motaung, according to the club's official website.
"We do hope that to have more collaborations and working together between the two countries in sport and other areas of business, including tourism."
