According to new reports in Egypt, a fresh crisis between Percy Tau and Al Ahly has emerged.
It was previously claimed that manager Marcel Koller had decided to agree to the sale of the 30-year-old in the current transfer window in order to make room for a "distinguished foreign player" to go into the 2024/25 season with.

This decision is said to have largely come as a result of his injury record of late, with the latest being the second-degree hamstring strain he sustained while on international duty in June, which eventually caused him to lose his place in the Swiss tactician's plans for the team.
While the South African marked his comeback from injury with a goal to help the side to a 2-1 victory over Modern Future earlier this month, he has not featured in the Red Devils' two Egyptian Premier League matches since, being an unused substitute in both fixtures.
Now, according to Egyptian media personality Medhat Shalaby, Koller's reasoning for not including the Bafana Bafana star in those games is because of the player's "reckless" attitude in training.
"The past few days witnessed the entry of Swiss Marcel Koller, Al Ahly's technical director, into a new crisis with South African Percy Tau," Shalaby said on Egyptian television show Ya Masaa Al Anwar, per El Watan.
"Tau trains recklessly and sometimes leaves group training under the pretext of complaining of an injury, which annoys Koller and causes him to exclude Percy Tau from the starting line-up."
Shalaby went on to add that this began after the former Brighton Hove Albion forward learned of the decision regarding his future at the club.
"Percy Tau is training recklessly after learning that Koller informed the management of his desire not to have the player continue with the team," he continued.

While his future at the club remains under considerable speculation, it is claimed Tau has attracted interest from some Gulf clubs, with an unnamed Emirati team reported, last week, to have offered him an annual salary of $2 million (R36 million) to join them.
