Another Man City star hints at potential exit

Another Manchester City star has now hinted at a potential exit from the club, having confessed his unhappiness due to one particular reason.

Much speculation has surrounded Julian Alvarez's future at the Etihad of late, with the player having previously being linked with a move to Atletico Madrid.

However, it is believed the LALIGA side is unable to afford the Argentine as City are thought to have slapped a price tag of €70 million (about R1.4 billion) on Alvarez, plus another €20 million (R398 million) in add-ons.

It has also previously been claimed, though, that the striker has turned down the offer of a brand-new four-year contract from his current side.

While Alvarez made 54 appearances in all competitions over the course of last season, he missed out on a starting position in the Citizens' 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup final, with Erling Haaland seemingly preferred over him.

The 2024 Copa America winner, who is currently with Argentina at the Olympic Games in Paris, has stated that he wants to be contributing in games that hold such significance.

"I haven't stopped to think about what I'm going to do," the attacker said, per DSports Radio.

"When this [the Olympic Games] is over, I will start thinking about what I want for myself, we'll see how things go.

"Last season, I was one of the players who played the most minutes in the team.

"In the end, in important games, you don't like being left out; you want to contribute."

The uncertainty surrounding the forward's future comes as teammate Ederson is heavily linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

It has been suggested that the Citizens have already decided that Stefan Ortega will inherit the No. 1 spot from the Brazilian.

Ederson, meanwhile, revealed that nothing has been decided yet but did not rule out an exit, saying that "whatever happens is in God's hands".
