Arsenal have been linked with a surprise move for one of their former players as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster the squad.
Second choice goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale remains linked with a departure after losing his spot to Spaniard David Raya last season.
Reports in England claim there is a good chance Ramsdale does leave North London this month and the club are looking at replacements.

According to HITC, the Gunners are looking at Espanyol shot-stopper Joan Garcia as a possible replacement while Juventus' Wojciech Szczesney is also linked with a return to the Emirates Stadium.
Szczesney is also reportedly a target for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr as he heads into the final year of his contract with Juventus.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper recently spoke about his about future and the possibility of leaving Turin.
"Loyalty is very important to me. Therefore, if I sign a two-year contract, it means that I know what to do for the next two years. If I sign for four, it means I know what to do in the next four. I want to respect the contract conditions," he told Polish YouTube Channel Foot Truck.
"If a club that has given you a lot needs to terminate the agreement and seeks your help, you should be able to provide it," the 34-year-old added.
