Manchester City have revealed the remarkable inspiration behind the design of the newly-released away kit for the 2024/25 season.
The Sky Blues, in collaboration with global sports company PUMA, officially released the kit on Thursday and revealed that its design honours the 25th anniversary of one of the most iconic moments in the club's history.

The moment: When City triumphed over Gillingham in the Second Division Play-Off final in 1999, with the match being seen as a testament to the spirit of tenacity and resilience that can be found within the club.
Trailing by two goals, City's determination saw them through to victory on penalties, after Paul Dickov's dramatic equaliser in the 95th minute took the game into extra time.
According to a statement from PUMA, the kit is a celebration of this encounter.
"To celebrate this iconic match, PUMA has brought back a certified classic: a navy-blue jersey featuring neon yellow vertical stripes, with neon yellow and blue detailing on the classic collar and sleeve trims," the brand wrote in a statement.

"It's a wonderful gesture by the club and PUMA to commemorate the anniversary with this year's Away kit."
The kit will be available from PUMA Retail stores, PUMA.com, Sportsmans Warehouse, Totalsports and Studio 88 from 15 August at a price of R1399 while the junior size will cost R1199.
