'These players' agents are the ones sabotaging Kaizer Chiefs'

In this week's edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Kaizer Chiefs' prominent supporter Kabelo Moumakwe, largely known as "Kabelo GP," about the club's transfer dealings.

Moumakwe believes his favorite club will do well this season even though there are agents who might be on a mission to sabotage them.

"I think what we currently have upfront might be enough; we do have Ranga Chivaviro, Christian Saile, Ashley Du Preez, and attackers Mduduzi Shabalala and Gaston Sirino," Moumakwe says.

"They might still add one or two, but so far, I will not fault the management for what they have done.

"They have managed to maximize at the back to see if we can get better defense, and forward we fine, midfield we've got a lot, they might need five months to gel, but we might sign players again in the middle of the season.

"They still have to see how Sirino fits in, and if you remember, last season, Chivaviro was not a regular; Saile was a regular, but nowadays he is no longer getting game time," he adds.

Moumakwe reasons that the coach is trying to put together some combinations up front, a process he believes is going to take up to five months to bear fruit.

"This season, we are not expecting anything, but we want them to gel. The management is trying.

"Let's talk about the boy from Cape Town City [Khanyisa Mayo]. We don't know what transpired, but listening to his agent, there was already an offer from overseas, so when Chiefs put forward their offer, the contract had already been signed.

"So, we can't fault Chiefs.

"Others might say maybe when Chiefs want a certain player, the price goes higher. We don't know what might be causing that, but we are happy with what we have."

The Amakhosi die-hard smells a rat though, pointing an accusing finger at player agents.

"I'm telling you now, these players' agents are the ones sabotaging Kaizer Chiefs. They try everything in their powers to discourage the players from joining Chiefs. But it's fine, they can talk and say we are signing freebies. Yes, it's fine because we are running a business.

"Even where I'm working, I'm selling cars, they will never go and spend big whereas they can buy something for free or at half-price.

"Remember, at Chiefs, we are not known for signing big names, we make big names. So far, I'm happy with what we are getting.

"At one stage, we wanted to sign Siphelele Ntshangase from Black Leopards, but he was sold to Baroka FC at a lesser price."
