A European coach has confirmed he is in talks with the Nigeria Football Federation about the Nigeria head coach job.
The post has been vacant since Finidi George stepped down after failing to beat South Africa and Benin in their last two FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.
Before Finidi's departure, the NFF did reveal they were looking to bring in a Technical Advisor from Europe to help with the team's disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign.

Former Sweden head coach Janne Andersson has now confirmed he is in the running for the Super Eagles job.
"It's a huge footballing nation. I can confirm that I have had a dialogue with the Nigeria Football Federation," Andersson told Expressen.
"It's a huge footballing nation so I'm extremely flattered to be in the running to be their next national team coach.
"Dialogue is ongoing and I don't really want to say more than that. I have been in this industry for so long and know that things can happen in different ways. So we'll see what happens in the future."
The Super Eagles will be back in action next month when they take on Benin in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on 7 September, before facing Rwanda three days later.
