A former Al Ahly star has expressed the love he had for Pitso Mosimane as he ranked the best coaches he worked under while at the club.
Ayman Ashraf, who currently represents Bank El Ahly, played for the Red Devils between 2017 and 2023, working under seven different foreign managers during his time at the 12-time CAF Champions League winners.

That list comprises Martin Lasarte, Rene Weiler, Marcel Koller, Ricardo Soares, Manuel Jose, Mosimane, and Patrice Carteron.
Out of the seven, the centre-back highlighted who the three best coaches were based on his own experiences with them, and singled out Mosimane.
Speaking to on Egyptian show On Time Sports, Ashraf expressed his adoration for the South African and what he saw in him, but put the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach is only in second place on his list.
"For me, Weiler is number one," the defender said, per Al-Masry Al-Youm.
"I have not seen a foreign coach with the techniques he has, and his personality, and this was evident in Al Ahly club.
"Mosimane is number two because I was comfortable with him.
"I saw in him a coach who was different tactically and who liked to play football from under the rug, and I loved him.
"Number three for me is Martin Lasarte. He was a good coach, and he had a professional team with him, specifically the two assistants."

Ashraf played 39 matches under Mosimane's guidance, amassing more than 3 000 minutes of playing time and winning an Egyptian Premier League title, an Egyptian Cup and two CAF Champions League trophies while working with the South African coach.
