Midfielder Njabulo Blom has opened up on his surprise return to Kaizer Chiefs on a season-long loan deal from Major League Soccer outfit St. Louis City.
Chiefs made the shock announcement on Tuesday afternoon after head coach Nasreddine Nabi had let the cat out of the bag at the Betway Premiership launch just hours earlier that the 24-year-old midfielder would be returning to the club.

Nabi described Blom as having the 'right personality' as the Tunisian-Belgian coach continues to strengthen the side ahead of the fast approaching campaign.
"I am very happy with Njabulo, the boy is experienced… I'm sure he has the personality. We need to use him correctly," Nabi told journalists on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the midfield stalwart himself has since shed some light on the move, simply adding that he is delighted to be back at the Village.
"I am delighted to be back at Kaizer Chiefs, a Club that holds a special place in my heart," Blom said, per the club's official website.
"And I look forward to working with the team and contributing to our success under Coach Nasreddine Nabi.
"The support from the fans has always motivated me, and I can't wait to play in front of the Khosi nation again."

The move also comes on the back of a tough start for Blom in his second season in the USA, completing just four of the 17 matches he has played this season and losing his place at Bafana Bafana.
He also got suspended for 'violation of team rules' after not joining his teammates for a penalty shootout against Juarez in the League Cup on 5 August.
'Stopper', as he is affectionately known, will be expected to bring some steel into the Amakhosi midfield that has looked toothless on occasion last season.
Blom will be up against Yusuf Maart, Edson Castillo, Samkelo Zwane and Sibongiseni Mthethwa in the battle for a starting spot.
