Seema discloses disrespect at Sekhukhune

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has acknowledged that there were disrespect-related matters that contributed to his exit in May.

Seema found himself on the way out despite a good run of results after he took over from Brandon Truter in November last year.

The 44-year-old took Babina Noko to five wins in a row for the first time in their history but ultimately found himself out following boardroom altercations.

"I think I disrespected them, and they disrespected me," confirms Seema.

"So, we had to quash the beef out and go back.

"I wasn't working, and they had work, and so I had to make sure that the exciting project that I started moved ahead.

"We have welcomed each other back and we are now looking forward to taking it forward.

"Respect has to happen both ways," says Seema, adding that the next target is to improve the team's fourth-place finish of last season, which was further progress from their first two finishes in the league.

"We are looking to improving our position from last season.

"The signings that the club has made were signings that we had already spoken about, so I wasn't surprised.

"This was with the exception of [Thabang] Monare and [Njabulo] Ngcobo, who we didn't know would be available.

"But I was happy to get them because those were the positions that we had identified," he adds.
