Chelsea and Al Ahli were reportedly in a battle to sign the centre-forward over the past week, but a move to Stamford Bridge collapsed after the player failed to agree terms with the English club.
Al Ahli, meanwhile, eventually decided to sign England striker Ivan Toney from Brentford on Friday, which meant the end of Osimhen's proposed transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
With the 2023 CAF African Men's Footballer of the Year having been exiled from the Napoli squad, it has now been confirmed that he has joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan with no option or obligation to buy clause. He has also reportedly been handed the No. 45 shirt for the campaign.

The Turkish giants will cover €6 million (R138 million) of Osimhen's annual salary for the season after talks between them and Napoli progressed in satisfactory fashion, while, in the process, the striker also reportedly reached an agreement with the Italian club to have his release clause decreased to €75 million (R1.4 billion).
Osimhen departs from Napoli with a formidable record of 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 matches, as well as the 2022/23 Serie A title.
