Ronaldo saves Portugal's winning record

Portugal 2-1 Scotland

Portugal maintained their winning start in the UEFA Nations League after coming from behind to defeat to Scotland on Sunday night.

The Scottish came into the encounter on the back of a 3-2 loss to Poland while Portugal defeated Croatia 2-1.

The visitors hit the ground running when Scott McTominay scored for the second successive game by firing home after seven minutes.

Portugal restored parity ten minutes after the halftime break via a neat finish from Bruno Fernandes.

Ronaldo made the difference off the bench as he netted the winning goal in the 88th minute with a close range finish from Nuno Mendes' cross.

Switzerland 1-4 Spain

Spain kickstarted their Nations League campaign with a 4-1 thrashing of Switzerland.

After a goalless draw on Friday, the European champions opened the scoring Joselu in the fourth minute before the lead was increased by Fabian Ruiz after 15 minutes.

Spain were then reduced to ten men in the 20th minute when Robin Le Normand was given his marching orders, before the Swiss reduced the deficit minutes later through Zeki Amdouni.

Amdouni's goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation as Ruiz completed his brace to extend Spain's lead in the 77th minute.

Ferran Torres completed the rout for ten-man Spain with his first goal of the tournament on 88 minutes.

Croatia 1-0 Poland

Croatia bagged their first win this season's UEFA Nations League after defeating Poland 1-0.

The home side broke the deadlock on 52 minutes when birthday boy Luka Modric found the top corner with a lovely free-kick from the edge of the area.

Denmark 2-0 Serbia

Denmark maintained their winning start in the Nations League with a 2-0 triumph over Serbia on Sunday evening.

Albert Gronbaek found the back of the net to give the Danes the lead, before Youssef Poulsen made the game safe in the second half.
