In an exclusive interview with KickOff, Chippa United chairman Siviwe 'Chippa' Mpengesi has responded to the allegations made regarding the club's new signing, Boy Madingwane.
The Chilli Boys recently announced the signing of the 22-year-old exciting player in a three-year deal.
However, Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has since disputed the signing, accusing the Gqeberha-based side of trying to 'steal' their player.
Madingwane last featured for the second-tier side in the relegation/promotion play-offs at the end of last season.

"I'm still going to talk to the chair of Baroka. What we normally do is we talk to a player, and the player says: 'Here is my agent'. Then we talk to an agent, and the agent says: 'The player is free'. Then we sign a contract, and the clearance is sent," Mpengesi tells this website.

"But I'm a victim here because I have signed the contract, I have paid the player signing-on fees that they wanted, and he's already got a two-month salary now and accommodation.
"Now the league is starting this week, and the player is not available. But now, to go and buy the player from Baroka from this cloud where the player denies the contract or option, and the agent is also denying...a
"actually, the problem is not Chippa and Baroka. The problem is between the player, the agent, and Baroka.

"If there was a contract, I would have approached Khurishi. I have done business with him in the past, from his first goalkeeper since their Vodacom League days [Veli Mothwa]. But then again, what would make me pay now when there is no evidence?
"So, ja, that's where I'm sitting now, in the same position as you. I don't know who to believe," concludes 'Chippa'.
