Deal 'Agreed': Al Ahly star headed to Saudi Pro League

Egyptian giants Al Ahly are reportedly set to lose another player to the Saudi Pro League.

According to Egyptian outlet In The Joule, Al-Ittihad have agreed a deal with the African champions for the transfer of Mohamed Maghribi.

The player spent last season on loan at Egyptian Premier League rivals Smouha and is now set to depart the club.

The report adds that Maghribi will join the Saudi outfit on a season-long loan, with transfer forming part of the deal that sent Marwaan Attia to Al Ahly last season.

Meanwhile, formrer Al Ahly satr Ibrahim Saeed has criticised the club for not bringing in more reinforcements this season.

"I expected that Al-Ahly's deals would be stronger than this. I was talking that Al-Ahly would support its ranks and get strong deals," he told Al-Nahar channel.

"Al-Ahly deserves this, given the championships it achieved.. I was expecting stronger deals than this. I don't know the reasons. Is the contract file going well?"

"Al-Ahly was supposed to prepare for the new season after the African Champions League. The deals that were made will not add much to Al-Ahly club."

"We wanted players worthy of the Al-Ahly club name, as we see in the Saudi League. It is not a requirement to contract with big names. The most important thing is for the players to have character. Al-Ahly has the Club World Cup. Will it go with this game?" .
