He was paired with Dortley who were at the heart of the backline, supported by full-backs Reeve Frosler on the one side and new-signing, and fellow debutant, Bradley Cross on the other.
It was the two centre-backs who have grabbed most of the attention, with fans reacting to their performances and some referring them as the 'Great Wall of Naturena'.

Here's how fans responded:
"Dortley now had to do some dirty work because Miguel is the leader of the line. Dortley was a leader with Ngezana, but we saw him stretch out to do some dirty work. The stand-out aspect was their superior application on the ball, the confidence, the thinking, the quality in passes, and Miguel takes good care of the ball bro," writes @_izodlalaiTv.
"Miguel's leadership and resilience alongside Dortley's composure and persistence. This partnership will win us Championships..Chivaviro and Sirino will win us games," says @KingMabena7.
"I love Dortley bafethu, Miguel a very positive and welcome addition mara Dortley," says @modisemokoa.
"These guys' fighting spirit made it easy for our forward players to go create chances not worried about the doors being opened at the back.. Compact CM between Zwane Maart.. Zwane needs to let go of the ball quicker at times.." says @MaxoTRONIC.
"Rushwin is destined for Europe they will come calling," writes @Tuboy_MTurn0708.
"I was so impressed by the warrior, Miguel, for his role during the game, both physically and tactically… Pure leader!" writes @Ngubane_Mzamoh.
"They reduced an entry on our box massively yesterday. The sooner Chiefs sort that midfield of which they are so close in doing so, they will have a spine we once had with Ted Baxter era," says @taribo_lito.
"Yooooooooo top notch players and they are both leaders, something that was missing at chiefs," says @NyembeJabulisa.
"Miguel is so vocal at the back we needed that so bad," says @Tea_bagZA.
