It is claimed "things are different now" at Al Ahly for Percy Tau, who has been linked with a move away from the club throughout the transfer window.
The South African attacker is said to have received interest from clubs in Africa, Europe, as well as the Middle East, with his contract in Cairo due to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.

It had also been said that Red Devils head coach Marcel Koller had green-lighted the player's potential departure in order to make room for another foreign star to be added to the squad.
The relationship between the former Mamelodi Sundowns star and the Swiss tactician was reported to have been dented as a result.
This came before the Bafana Bafana forward netted a brace to help the Club of the Century beat Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia by three goals to nil in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round tie last weekend.
Now, according to Egyptian media personality Mohamed El-Leithy, the relationship between the pair is different to what it was a few weeks ago.
Speaking to radio station Sport FM, he explained that the north African giants have renewed their faith in the South Africa attacker, and have changed their stance on his future at the club.
"The talk about the possibility of the departure of South African professional Percy Tau is baseless, as Al Ahly Club has decided to renew its confidence in him and close this file," he said, per Ahly News.
"After the strong start of South African Percy Tau with Al Ahly Club in the match against Kenyan Gor Mahia, there is a decision to keep the player, and give him all the confidence and support in the coming period.
"Percy Tau rebelled against Koller last season, which made the coach ask for his departure, but things are different now."
