South African stars and managers were in action around Africa this weekend, with Rulani Mokwena's Wydad Athletic Club emerging triumphant and Fadlu Davids' Simba continuing their dominance.
Mokwena's Red Castle picked up an emphatic 4-1 victory over Difaa Hassani El-Jadidi in a Botola Pro 1 encounter on Saturday to move to second spot on the league table.

Despite conceding the first goal of the game as a direct result of conceding a penalty, the home side drew level on the stroke of half-time through defender Nabil Marmouk.
Soon after the break, French midfielder Walid Nassi gave the three-time CAF Champions League winners the advantage when he found the back of the net, before Ismail Moutaraji's brace then secured his team's second victory of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Davids' dominance in Tanzania continued when his side beat Dodoma Jiji FC in a Tanzanian Premier League clash to make it four wins out of four for the South African tactician.
Jean Charles Ahoua scored the only goal of the game in the second half to help his side collect yet another three points.
The former Orlando Pirates assistant coach is yet to concede a league goal since taking charge of the Reds of Msimbazi, with his side having found the net on 10 occasions.
Despite the dominant start, Simba are third on the league table, but do have a game in hand over leaders Singida Black Stars FC, and have two over second-placed Singida Big Stars FC.
Elsewhere on the continent, Percy Tau's Al Ahly failed to secure more silverware when they took on rivals Zamalek in this year's CAF Super Cup, which saw last season's Confederation Cup winners and the reigning Champions League holders go up against one another.
However, it was the CAFCC holders, the White Castle, who emerged victorious in a penalty shootout that decided the winners.
Wessam Abou Ali struck first, converting from the penalty spot to give the Red Devils the lead just before the half-time whistle.
Zamalek, though, grew into the game in the second half, resulting in substitute Naser Mansy – who had been on the field for just one minute at the time – finding the back of the net in the 77th minute.
With the scores level by the time the final whistle had been blown, the game went to a penalty shootout, which Zamalek won by four goals to three.
Bafana Bafana star Elias Mokwana, meanwhile, started on the bench for ES Tunis when they took on Stade Tunisien in a Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 encounter on Sunday.
