An African star representing one of CAF's top clubs has expressed his delight at reports linking his club with Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos.
Widely considered by many to be the best centre-back of his generation, Ramos remains a free agent after leaving Sevilla at the end of last season, when his contract expired.

Even at the age of 38, there appears to be no shortage of interest in the defender, with clubs in the United States, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia reportedly interested in securing his services.
Moreover, an African side was recently reported to be interested in luring Ramos to the continent.
Newly crowned CAF Super Cup champions Zamalek are reportedly interested in signing Ramos, although it is understood the club is yet to make an official offer for the former Spain international, according to AS.
These reports have already reached some Zamalek players, and one of them, Hossam Abdelmaguid, believes Ramos would be a fantastic signing for the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup winners.
"Sergio Ramos is my role model in Europe because he is a strong personality that you would love to be like," the Egypt international told MBC Masr TV channel.
"I saw the statements that linked him to Zamalek in the past period, and he will be a great addition if the deal is completed, even with his old age."
Last month, it was reported that Ramos was nearing a move to Brazilian side Botafogo but those talks broke down after the club failed to meet Ramos' contract demands.
