Orlando Pirates' Thabiso Sesane is among the players named in the latest Bafana Bafana squad announced by Hugo Broos to face Congo in crucial back-to-back 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Bafana are set to take on Congo in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier clash in Gqeberha on Friday 11 October, before returning for the return fixture that will be played away on Tuesday, 15 October.

Ahead of the match, Broos had named a 33-man preliminary squad that has now been trimmed down to 23.
The squad is dominated by Mamelodi Sundowns players, with as many as eight players named in the squad, including newly-signed Iqraam Rayners.
Pirates, too, are well-represented with as many as six players, and the list includes Sipho Chaine, Sesane, Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Relebohile Mofokeng.

The newly-announced squad also sees the return of captain and experienced shot-stopper Ronwen Williams, who missed out on the last Bafana camp due to an injury. As a result, the duo of Veli Mothwa and Sipho Chaine got their chances against Uganda and South Sudan respectively.
The 32-year-old since returned to action and delivered a Man of the Match performance during Mamelodi Sundowns' 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs.
Broos' troops will be looking to build from a 3-2 victory over South Sudan in September, having played to a 2-2 draw against Uganda in the match prior.

Bafana currently sit second in Group K of the qualifiers for the 2025 showpiece and will need to finish either first or second to book a ticket for the trip to Morocco.
