A former Al Ahly star has revealed a Pitso Mosimane regret he still holds.
Mohamed Farouk joined the Red Devils in July 2014 before departing the club in August the following year, but the player has revealed that there had been talks to bring him back to club.

He went on to represent various teams across Egypt, including Modern Future FC, where the winger revealed he was not happy.
The South African tactician, meanwhile, had been at the 12-time CAF Champions League winners between October 2020 and June 2022.
The former Pyramids FC star has revealed, while speaking on Egyptian-based based television channel Al Oula, that he was offered the opportunity to return to Cairo under Mosimane during that period, something he wished could happen but failed to transpire.
"Al Ahly asked for me three times after I left the team, but I didn't get a full chance with them and wasn't successful," Farouk said, per Btolat.
"I'm an Al Ahly fan and supporter. Zamalek asked for me twice, but we disagreed on the financial value due to Arab Contractors' demands.
"I separate my belonging, presence, and work with other clubs. That's why I always gave my best for Pyramids.
"Mosimane requested my transfer to Al Ahly during his time, as part of an exchange deal with Ahmed El Sheikh, while I was at Pyramids.
"I don't like being a substitute for any player, and I wished to return and be the number one in my position."
The 35-year-old also opened up about the chances he had to move away from the continent to explore potential opportunities in Europe.
"I had different plans when joining Al Ahly and rejected overseas professional offers," Farouk continued.
"I received an offer from Basel, Switzerland, and thought staying with Al Ahly would facilitate joining European clubs and the Egyptian national team.
"I haven't felt comfortable since joining Future, and I wanted to leave from day one."
