Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has reportedly made a surprise decision on his international career with France.
The Los Blancos star asked coach Didier Deschamps to be excused from the October international break for the national side to focus on getting back to full fitness.

However, Deschamps was reportedly shocked to see the World Cup winner starting for Los Blancos in their win over Villarreal before the break.
Mbappe has already faced criticism due to his decision to not feature during this month's international break.
According to Foot Mercato, the Frenchman had made it clear that he only wants to play important matches for national over the next year.
This was reportedly part of the reason why Mbappe is not with the squad at the moment despite being the captain.
The report adds that the Los Blancos star has now prioritised winning the Ballon d'Or in 2025 and is looking to reduce the risk of getting injured.
Mbappe will undoubtedly get more criticism from the French media, especially after he was spotted at a nightclub in Sweden a couple days ago.
