After winning multiple major trophies at Mamelodi Sundowns, Khama Billiat was deemed a failure at Kaizer Chiefs, after he did not contribute to any trophy. The Zimbabwean has now opened up on his stay at Naturena.
Billiat's major honours at Sundowns, where he spent five years, included three league titles, Nedbank Cup and Telkom Knockout [now replaced by Carling Knockout], CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup.

After the expiry of the speedy attacker's contract at the club, he made a surprise switch to Chiefs in his prime in 2018, where he was allegedly one of the highest-paid players in the league.
However, though he was the trusted talisman at the Soweto giants, particularly in his first three years, Billiat could not help them win a single official trophy.
Reflecting on his stay at the club, the Zimbabwean has suggested he has no regrets, as he enjoyed himself and was proud to be part of the squad that reached the CAF Champions League final in 2021.
"I feel like people don't realise how much I enjoyed my time at Chiefs. I played in the CAF Champions League final, it was not easy. [There are ] not many fortunate people who are able to play in the CAF Champions League final," Billiat said on MhlengiSports YouTube Channel.
"I respect what they did to me, I got what I felt I deserved, no disrespect. It's a big team that took care of me so much. Maybe I didn't perform the way they [fans] expected, but I did enjoy my time and I feel I contributed a little bit in a positive way - it might be in the changing room, training. I really do appreciate," added the veteran.
The 34-year-old also addressed whether reports of him being the highest-paid player could have affected the dressing room.

"You wouldn't know how people felt, but I had a great relationship with a lot of them. It was more of an outside thing, where people speak and try to divide the changing room in a way, but we were so good. We would go out together and we had times when we visited each other."
