WATCH: Fagrie Lakay steals the spotlight in Egypt

Fagrie Lakay recently put on a show in Egypt, almost helping his side to an important victory.

The South African found the back of the net in Ceramica Cleopatra FC's semi-final encounter against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup on Sunday.

His goal came just before half time to level matters after Taher Mohamed opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the first minute of the game to give the side an early advantage.

Ultimately, Lakay could not prevent his side from suffering a 2-1 defeat as Mohamed struck once again to give his the lead and victory in the end.

However, the former Cape Town City star took his goal well. He made a penetrating run in behind the backline and while the defender intercepted the ball with a header, the ball was recollected.

The 27-year-old then received the ball in the box before taking the ball away from goal with his touch, and then turning once more to plant the ball in the back of the net.
