Brazil head coach Dorival Junior has explained why Neymar and Endrick were left out of the squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Selecao will continue their World Cup qualifying campaign against Venezuela and Uruguay later this month.
Neymar recently returned to action in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Hilal after missing last season due to an injury.

"We decided not to bring him [Neymar] so as not to rush things," the Brazil coach said, as per ESPN.
"He's practically fully recovered, but he only had a few minutes, which weighed heavily on the decision."
"He was willing to be here but he also understood the situation, the condition he is in, the lack of minutes [13] on the field," Dorival said.
"We have to respect the club's process. A player of his level always has the pleasure of being here. This is very important to us, even though he is not in full condition."
Endrick, meanwhile, has made just one start for Real Madrid this campaign and has played second fiddle behind Kylian Mbappe.
"Today he is in a moment of transition, in what is perhaps the biggest team in world football. It is a natural process that takes time. We all have to live with this decision.
"The doors of the Selecao are not closed to him, I have confidence in him and he knows it. What he has to do now is reposition himself in his club so that he can shine later.
"The club he joined is getting to know him better, Endrick is in a new environment and this, I insist, requires a certain amount of time.
"It's natural that if you don't play for your club, it creates a complicated situation. All the footballers have to be playing to be here in the Selecao."
