Al Ahly rivals urged to sign Tau – 'He is the missing piece'

Al Ahly rivals Zamalek have been urged to try sign Percy Tau, with the player being described as the "missing piece" to the club's puzzle.

The South African attacker is currently in the last year of his contract with the Red Devils, with speculation surrounding his future continuing.

Red Devils sporting director Mohamed Ramadan previously said that the club is yet to have had a conversation with the player regarding his future.

However, he revealed that those discussions would begin after the Egyptian outfit's FIFA Club World Cup encounter against United Arab Emirates side Al Ain, which Marcel Koller's side won by three goals to nil last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Egyptian sports pundit Ahmed El-Tayeb urged Zamalek to capitalise on the former Brighton Hove Albion attacker's situation.

"Do it, Labib, to complete the dream team," he wrote on social media per Masrawy.

"This player resembles Zamalek; he is the missing piece we need to complete the dessert, from the same dough and ingredients."

The Bafana Bafana star was an unused substitute during his side's victory over Al Ain and started on the bench when the Club of the Century took on Fagrie Lakay's Ceramica Cleopatra FC on Saturday.

He would, however, come on to make an appearance as Marcel Koller's side walked away with a 5-2 victory to get their league campaign off to a positive start.
