Mntambo to help produce SA's next big talent?

Linda Mntambo made an announcement launching an opportunity for young South African players with dreams of making it on the biggest stages. 

The Sekhukhune United star put together a creative video to let everybody know that the fifth edition of the Linda Mntambo Games will be kicking off.

The competition aims to promote and facilitate the development of amateur sports in Africa, and seems to be doing a good job of doing so thus far. 

In fact, Kaizer Chiefs starlet Mfundo Vilakazi is one of the players who had the opportunity to show off his skills at the tournament, having been awarded the Player of the Tournament prize at the 2021 edition of the competition. 

Mntambo also revealed that the upcoming competition will feature some big names that include popular football freestyler Mjepa, Banyana Banyana star Andile Dlamini, as well as popular strength and conditioning trainer Vusi Mavreka Hlabangwana. 

"Guys I am excited to tell you that this weekend, myself with the [Linda Mntambo Foundation] are hosting the annual [Linda Mntambo Games fifth edition," he wrote in a social media post.

"We would love to see you come through to support the Future stars of South African football showcase their talent.

"There is going to be a wholesome of special guests attending the tournament abo the likes of @mjepa12, @andile_01_dlamini, and @blckvreka_. Be there or be told."
